Bill Hyde, In Memoriam 4/14/2024
Bill is a 1968 graduate of Tulane Law School and received his M.S. in Accounting in 1972 from LSU. From 1968 until 1982, he was an Assistant Professor teaching business law and real estate at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He is a member of the Louisiana Land Title Association and served that organization as President from 1994 - 1995. He founded Baton Rouge Title Company and, in 1995, sold it to Chicago Title Insurance Company. Since 1995, he served as General Counsel for Title Exchange Company, a qualified intermediary for tax deferred exchanges, as a consultant for Baton Rouge Title Company and operated a general law practice under the name, Hyde Law Firm. He often speaks to organizations on the subjects of real estate law and tax deferred exchanges. He is certified by the Louisiana Real Estate Commission, the Louisiana Bar Association, and Louisiana Association of Certified Public Accountants as an instructor for continuing education.
Patrick Cusick, General Counsel
Patrick is a graduate of Southern University Law School and received his B.S. in Finance from Southeastern Louisiana University. He is a graduate of Catholic High School and is a Baton Rouge native. He is a member of the Louisiana Land Title Association, Louisiana Association of Independent Land Title Agents, American Land Title Association, Baton Rouge Bar Association, Louisiana Bar Association, and the Federation of Exchange Accommodators. He is licensed with the State of Louisiana Commissioner of Insurance as a title insurance producer. Patrick began working for Hyde Title Co. in 2006 and is a Partner at Hyde Law Firm.
Christian Nielson, Attorney
Christian is a native of Prairieville, Louisiana and joined the firm as an associate in 2024. Christian received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Louisiana State University. He then earned his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center. Throughout his time in law school, Christian worked as a law clerk at Hyde Title Co. He is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association and the Baton Rouge Bar Association. He is also a licensed title insurance producer with the State of Louisiana Commissioner of Insurance.
Stacey Templet, Paralegal/Notary Public
Stacey has worked in many legal fields during her 25 years of experience. She has been commissioned by the State of Louisiana as a Notary Public since 1998. Stacey has spent the last 15 years working as a real estate paralegal specializing in both residential and commercial transactions. Stacey and her husband reside in Ascension with their two boys.
